Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site earn us a commission. Here is how that works and how we choose what to recommend.
The short version. Simba’s Club earns a small commission if you buy through some of our links. Those links are marked ad. It costs you nothing extra, and it keeps the site free.
What “ad” means
An ad label means the link is an affiliate link. If you click it and buy, the shop or its network pays us a commission. You pay the same price. We put the label next to the product and next to the button, before you click.
How we choose what to recommend
- We choose the product first, for whippets: the body shape, the thin coat, the fit. Whether a programme exists comes second.
- Commission never changes a verdict or the order of a list.
- “On Simba’s list” means we think it is a good fit for a whippet. “Simba approved” is only used once Simba has actually tried it, and the verdict says what happened.
- If a product has no affiliate programme, it can still be on the list. It just has no “ad” link.
Whippet of the Week
Whippet of the Week is about the dog. A “try it” link appears only when that dog’s favourite happens to be something we can link to. If it is not, we just share the love, with no link.
Programmes we are applying to
Until a programme approves us, every Shop button goes straight to the brand’s own page with no tracking. We switch a button to an affiliate link only after approval. None of these has approved us yet:
- Amazon Associates UK and the Amazon Influencer Program
- TikTok Shop UK affiliate
- Awin (including Lily’s Kitchen, Edgard & Cooper, zooplus and Everypaw)
- Impact (Tractive)
- Webgains (Rover UK)
- Butternut Box (direct ambassador scheme)
- Pooch & Mutt Pooch Pack (direct)
- Optimise and Partnerize (pet insurance, such as ManyPets and Petplan)
- Hurtta Adventurers (direct)
- Direct deals with dog-coat makers, where they offer one
We will update this list as programmes approve us.
Amazon Associates
[Amazon Associates statement: use the exact wording from the Operating Agreement once the account is approved]
Gifted items and sponsored posts
If a brand gives us a product or pays for a post, we say so and label it “ad”. A gift never buys a good verdict.
If you are outside the UK
Affiliate links are the same everywhere: if you buy through a link marked “ad”, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. [add local wording for DE, NL and FR once translated and checked by a native speaker]
